Masi Gran Criterium vintage 1971-1972 | ||||
Seller: robdem Starting bid/Asking Price=$1.00 Rare, Original and un restored 1971-1972 Masi Gran Criterium. I am selling this as part of an Estate sale. This bicycle has been stored inside my father-in-laws garage for several decades. Based on the internet research the best I could determine is the following. This Masi Gran Criterium was made in Italy and imported to Sugden and Lynch in California. Fischer Crown, Seat Stays/Seat logo suggest built end of 1971. Marked "V60" as the serial number, meaning 60 cm which is built in Masi factory, Vigorelli Velodrome in Milan, Italy. The color is a the classic Champagne color. The "Faliero Masi" signature decal is below the seat. The Masi graphics are in great shape as well as the paint. The tape on the handlebars are faded and dried out with a tear on the right handlebar. The brake boot rubber covers are dried out and one is damaged. Campagnolo brakes, shifter, crank, Martavo rims with stickers, water bottle holder (no bottle), "Cinelli- Mod. Giro D'Italia" inscribed on handlebars, factory pedals (I believe, says made in France) without toe clips The overall condition of the bike is very good. I wiped it down but there is grease and dust that I haven't completely cleaned away. Minor nicks in the paint. Chain is loose, and seat is faded. No tires, only rims with the bicycle. All the parts look original. The bicycle is straight and does not have much wear. More pictures are available. |
